Mobile Record Shredders is a proud supporter of Athletes of the Week for CSU-P. This week they are JaNaiya Davis (Women's Basketball) and Donovan Oldham (Men's Basketball).
JaNaiya Davis (Fr., Hewitt, Tex.) led the ThunderWolves to a 1-1 start to the season with 17.5 points per game, while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. The freshman played 34 minutes per game knocked down 3-of-4 (66.7%) from 3-point land and was 3-for-4 (75%) from the free throw line.
She added 3.0 assists per game and four of her 11 rebounds on the weekend were on the offensive end. She scored 14 points and shot 54.5 percent from the field in a 77-68 overtime victory against Texas A&M-Commerce.
Davis dropped 21 points and added five assists in a 78-74 road loss to No. 10 Lubbock Christian. She shot 56.3 percent in the loss.

Donovan Oldham (R-Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) averaged 22 points per game and shot 48.4 percent from the field in a 1-1 start to the season. In 36.5 minutes per game, he added 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest, which included pulling down five offensive boards. He was a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line. He also posted three blocks and two steals. In the opener, Oldham led the team to a 90-83 victory against Arkansas-Fort Smith with 26 points on 46.7 percent shooting from the field and a 12-for-12 effort from the line He scored 18 points in the 68-60 loss to Rogers State and shot 50 percent from the field with two 3-pointers.
