Athletes Of The Week: CSU-Pueblo

Mobile Record Shredders is a proud supporter of Athletes of the Week for CSU-P. This week they are KATY ZIMMERMAN (Women's Swimming and Diving) and AIDAN WELCH (Baseball).

Katy Zimmerman (Fr., Cypress, Tex.) led the Pack to a fifth place finish at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships. On day one of the RMAC Championships, Zimmerman set the tone for the meet by placing fourth in the 1000 Free (10:51.98).

On day two, Zimmerman recorded the third fastest 200 Free time in program history. She dashed to the wall in a time of 1:56.59 to win the B final and take ninth.

In the 500 Free, Zimmerman also swam the third fastest time in program history. She reached the wall in a time of 5:10.67 to earn sixth place.

Aidan Welch (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) got off to a fast start for the ThunderWolves. Welch hit .545 with six hits in 11 at bats. He drew three walks to post a .600 OBP.

Welch plated four runs and scored four times in the Pack's series with Emporia State. He swatted two doubles to finish with a 1.327 OPS.

The Pack baseball team has the week off and will begin RMAC play at home Mar. 5-7 against Regis.
