Our off-site Shred Events are helping everyone fight identity theft.
Below is a note we received from the AARP Foundation ElderWatch to thank those that helped out at those events. We are as happy with the outcome as they are. Take a look:
Dear Fight Fraud—Shred Instead volunteers,
It’s hard to believe that it has already been a week and a half since our annual event and that we’re a week away from mid-October! I just wanted to send a quick follow-up note to THANK YOU for your efforts in helping older Coloradans protect themselves from identity theft. We had great success in our three locations (Colorado Springs, Denver and Fort Collins) thanks to all of you. There were 72 volunteers across the three locations who helped protect more than 1,100 older Coloradans from identity theft by providing free shredding services to shred 12 tons (24,000+ lbs) of personal documents. You also helped collect 3,373 lbs of food and $662 in cash donations for the local community food banks, as well as 75 pairs of eye glasses for the Lion’s Club.
Thank you again for choosing to spend your Saturday morning with us! I hope you enjoyed the experience, and if you would like to share any feedback, questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Beau B. CAE
